Data protection

The FHNW uses the Converia conference management software produced by Lombego Systems GmbH of Weimar ("Converia") to administer events and conferences.

You are required to open a personal user account if you wish to register for an event or make a submission. By creating a login you accept the data protection regulations of the FHNW and agree to having your personal information processed by the FHNW.

The information required of you includes a salutation, your first and last name, your home address and your email. You are also required to submit credit card details if you wish to pay for something online. The information you provide is handled with all due care.

The FHNW is committed to the selective and sparing use of personal information. The information collected here will be used only for the organisation of events.

The FHNW maintains control over your personal information at all times: all such data is backed up, stored and protected from access by third parties using the latest organisational and technical means.

Data is never shared with third parties unless this is required by law or you give us your express permission to do so.

Converia is capable of analysing data in anonymised form for the purposes of software development. Such data cannot be traced back to particular individuals.

Your user account is designed for long-term use: it makes it easier for you to manage your events and sign up for other events. You can update your personal information at any time. To delete your account or to stop receiving information on events, please email events@fhnw.ch. Your personal information will then be deleted.

For user authentication we use the following service:
