1. Scope
These General Business and Participation Terms and Conditions of the organiser, FHNW School of Life Sciences (HLS), apply to all participants of "Transformation of the Life Sciences Industry" on 28 April 2025.
2. Registration and declaration of consent
Participants register online. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received and each registration will be confirmed by e-mail. This e-mail confirmation makes the registration final.
By registering, participants agree that photos or video recordings taken at the event by or on behalf of the HLS may be used for the public relations work of the HLS (newsletters, internet, social media, etc.).
3. Conference fees
As stated in the announcement, the conference fees include VAT. The fees include refreshments during breaks, lunch and aperitifs. Other costs such as accommodation, travel expenses, meals outside the event, etc. are not included in the conference fee.
4. Payment methods
By registering, participants undertake to pay the fee on time. The fee can be paid by credit card. If the fee is not paid before the event, the organizer is entitled to exclude the participants..
5. Cancellation or postponement of events
If the conference cannot be held, nor postponed to a later date, the conference fee will be refunded. No further claims can be made in relation to this.
No claims can be made in the event that individual lectures or presentations cannot take place during the conference (e.g. due to illness of speakers).
If it is not possible to hold the conference on site due to an unforeseeable event beyond the control of the FHNW (natural disaster, pandemic, war, etc.), the organisers will consider an online format.
The programme is subject to change.
The organisers will inform participants of any changes as soon as possible.
6. Cancellation of a confirmed registration
If you cancel your participation up to April 13, 2025, you will be fully refunded. If the cancellation is made after April 13, 2025, 100% of the fee will be charged. It is possible to send a replacement person.
7. Liability
Liability of the FHNW for personal injury, property damage or financial loss is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. In particular, the FHNW declines any and all liability for lost or damaged property. Participants are responsible for their own insurance cover.
8. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
This agreement is subject exclusively to Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Brugg-Windisch.
