General Terms and Conditions for Participation in the Biotechnet Meet-Up 2026
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions of the organiser, Biotechnet Switzerland, apply to all participants in the Biotechnet Meet-Up 2026.
2. Registration and declaration of consent
Participants register online. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received and each registration will be confirmed by e-mail. This e-mail confirmation makes the registration final.
By registering, participants agree that photos or video recordings taken at the event by or on behalf of Biotechnet may be used for the public relations work of Biotechnet (newsletters, internet, social media, etc.).
3. Conference fees
Conference fees include VAT. The fees include refreshments during breaks, lunch and aperitifs. Other costs such as accommodation, travel expenses, meals outside the event, etc. are not included in the conference fee.
4. Payment methods
By registering, participants agree to pay the conference fees by the deadline for payment. The conference fees can be paid by credit card or Twint. If the conference fee is not paid before the event, the organiser has the right to exclude the participants from the conference.
5. Cancellation or postponement of events
If the conference cannot be held, nor postponed to a later date, the conference fee will be refunded. No further claims can be made in relation to cancellation.
No claims can be made in the event that individual lectures or presentations cannot take place during the conference (e.g. due to illness of speakers).
The programme is subject to change. The organisers will inform participants of any changes as soon as possible.
6. Cancellation of a confirmed registration
It is not possible to cancel the registration. However, It is possible for a substitute to attend, by writing to sonia.thomson@fhnw.ch.
7. Liability
Liability of Biotechnet for personal injury, property damage or financial loss is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. In particular, Biotechnet declines any and all liability for lost or damaged property. Participants are responsible for their own insurance cover.
8. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
This agreement is subject exclusively to Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Muttenz.
